New Years Resolutions

Every single year, I have a list of New Year’s Resolutions that I think of throughout the last couple months of the year.  As we are in the Thanksgiving Holiday time and approaching the Christmas Holidays, that means the New Year is just around the corner!  This is the time of year when I access how the year went, and think about ways to improve my life.

I have a bad habit of wasting time on things that are really not meaningful.  For instance, when I wake up I spend the first fifteen minutes looking at my phone, scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, etc.  While this is part of my waking up process, I do consume a lot of time doing it.  Think about it, 15 minutes a day equals an hour and a half a week.  Do you know how much time this little habbit of mine consumes per year?  …………. Drum roll please ……………  91 hours.  Yes, that’s right!  91 EFFIN HOURS!  I waste 91 EFFING hours a year waking up and wasting time on Social Media!   I say wasting time because I’m usually just scrolling through useless nonsense that does not improve my life whatsoever!

While your New Years Resolutions might be to start working out more, quit smoking, being a better person, or not wasting time on certain things like me, the best way to go about tackling them is to start before the New Years.  If you rarely work out and your goal is to work out five times a week, then start working out a couple times a week before the New Year starts.  If your goal is to start eating healthy on a regular basis and you eat like crap right now, then start it up now, and add a couple of cheat meals so you are still getting some of that good stuff you crave.  Whatever your New Years goals are, start them up early and you will have a much better chance of being successful in the New Year.
